Key To The Cure – Remembering a Friend and Colleague

One of the great champions of Horizon Care Services family was Tina Edington.  Tina was one of the most amazing home health liaisons whose genuine care for our clients and their families made her a star in the local industry. When we lost Tina to cancer, we lost a truly remarkable team member and great friend.  She was one of those special people you meet in a lifetime.  Dedicated and caring.  When she asked “How are you?”…she was the kind of person who was genuinely interested in the response.  Tina’s losing battle with cancer was swift.  From diagnosis to her final days was a very short period of time and was a wake-up call for all of us at Horizon Care Services.  It’s just so important to try and enjoy every day.

As a result of losing Tina, we made a donation in her name to the Key To The Cure campaign to benefit the Foshay Cancer Center at Jupiter Medical Center.  We truly believe in the vision of this campaign and urge you all to join us Wednesday, October 15 for the 16th Annual Saks Fifth Avenue Key To The Cure Kick-Off Celebration.

This popular event presents a perfect opportunity to not only market your business to a perfect audience, but there’s also shopping and dining!  It’s a win-win!  Last year’s event raise more than $60,000 for woman’s cancer care and research! Key_To_The_Cure_2014

Monies raised from this event will specifically fund bringing Intraoperative Radiation Therapy to Jupiter Medical Center.  Having IORT enables the patient to receive a single, low dose of radiation to a tumor or tumor bed during the patient’s surgery.  By delivering radiation at the time cancerous tissue is removed, one treatment is the equivalent of six-weeks of post-operative treatment!

Media Sponsors Palm Beach Illustrated magazine and Sunny 107.9 FM are on board to promote the three and a half-hour private celebration for more than 400 guests in proper fashion!  We would be honored to have your involvement.  To find out how you can help by either attending or by sponsoring this event, call Catherine Tolton at the Foundation Office (561)263-5728 TODAY!   Or click here for more information!

Help support our area’s amazing local non-profit hospital…Jupiter Medical Center.
